Step-by-Step Walkthrough
To create a subproject template, go to Settings, open Project Templates, and add a new template. During setup, select Mark as subproject template, then choose an existing project template as its parent. Once this relationship is created, it cannot currently be reverted. A parent template can have any number of subprojects, while each subproject can have only one parent template.
You can also convert an existing template by clicking the three dots next to it and selecting Convert to subproject, then choosing its parent template. Templates already linked to a subproject relationship will not show this option.
Once your templates are connected, open a project created from the parent template, click the three dots in the upper right corner, and choose Add subproject. Choose the location, enter a name, and select the subproject template. The available templates are based on the subprojects associated with that parent template. After the first subproject is created, the parent project's summary will display all its subprojects, along with a plus button for quickly adding more.
You can also create subprojects in bulk using Create New, then Project from File. During field mapping, use the new Parent Key or Name field to connect each imported subproject to its parent. Your file can contain either the parent project's Matidor Key or its name. If validation succeeds, each subproject is imported under the correct parent. Subproject and regular project imports are handled separately.
Subprojects can view parent details through the read only Parent fields section, and parent layers are visible to them. On the parent project, subproject drawings appear as read only map layers, with individual toggles under Subproject layers.
