What This Video Covers

Learn how to use Timeline View in Matidor to visualize Projects and Work on a Gantt-style timeline. This tutorial covers switching from List View to Timeline View, changing the timeline scale, updating schedules directly from timeline bars, managing items without schedules, grouping and filtering data, customizing columns, and saving the setup as a reusable View.

Who This Is For

This video is for project managers, operations teams, workspace managers, and other Matidor users who need a clear visual overview of project or work schedules. It is especially useful for teams coordinating multiple projects, tasks, deadlines, and reporting requirements across field operations.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Open a project and expand the Project or Work table. Go to the top-right corner of the table, where List View is selected by default, and click Timeline to switch to the Gantt-style view.

Once Timeline View is open, use the timeline scale selector to choose Hour, Day, Week, Month, or Year. These options let you view schedules at the level of detail that best fits your planning needs.

To update a schedule, drag the edges of a timeline bar to adjust the start and end dates of the work. If some items do not have a schedule, use the available option to hide or show them and keep the timeline focused.

Use the grouping controls to organize timeline items by different fields. Expand or collapse groups to focus on the information that matters most. Apply filters by field to find specific projects, tasks, or other items within the timeline.

Customize the columns to control which information appears beside the timeline. After configuring the columns, grouping, and filters, save the setup as a View. You can also apply an existing View whenever you need to return to a preferred configuration.
